Happy Halloween!

the kids and I were out for just over 2 hours, what a haul they got! It was unseasonably warm for our area, although a bit windy, sure beats the icy mess we had last year!

Here's some pics!!

Cody (the Bum), Jenna (Bratz Pirate), Xander (Black Spiderman) with friends Audrey (Bratz Kitty), Austin (Spiderman) and their cousin Christopher (hockey player).

Quinten in his Pumpkin outfit!

Audrey and Austin's little sister Autumn in her Piglet snowsuit.

and finally ... PUMPKINS!!

Mine and Quinten's - a Mommy Mummy and a Baby Mummy! hehehee

Jenna's Witch

Xander's Silly Face

and last, Cody's Spooky Tree that he carved all by himself

(as I did the other three, the kids just picked what they wanted me to carve)

Pumpkin Carving Websites

here are some links for some carving templates I have found online.

those should get you started. Most templates are free, and some are easy to do, while yet others are for the more advanced.

October news

I've been working lots, so less time at home on the computer for chatting and scrapping, although I have managed to get quite a few scraps done. I am not uploading them all to share, but feel free to check out the links to my galleries on the right. The one that has every LO is the SBB one.

My middle boy celebrated his 5th birthday on the 18th, and marked the joyous occasion by learning how to ride a two-wheeler! So darn proud of him! Cody and Jenna didn't learn how until they were 8 years old, so this is a big step in our family!!

Halloween is coming soon! We went down to Kalispell, Montana two weekends ago, to buy the kids their costumes. Quinten is going to be a pumpkin, oh so cute! Xander chose the be the Black Spider-Man. Jenna really wanted to be a Cheerless Cheerleader, but they didn't have it in her size. Then she wanted to be a Monster Bride like last year, but again, not in her size. So she chose to be a Bratz Pirate! Totally suits her too! Cody didn't get a costume, but that is because he has decided he wants to be a Bum, so that's pretty easy to throw together.
I still have to decide what I am going to carve for the pumpkins this year. I have done Scooby-Doo, Spongebob and numerous spooky scenes in the past. And this year I have my Dremel to help me carve intracite designs, so I better get crackin'!!

Other than that, we haven't been up to too much. lol

look what we got today

kinda hard to tell in these pics, the sun just isn't co-operating for outside pics today .....

yup, it snowed today!! Here I was thinking I needed to get up some fall pics, and this is what mother nature decided to share with us. The first pic is taken from my driveway (the corner of my roof is showing at the top), and the last two are out back. The very last pic is actually one of the 5 coal mines in the community where I live (ok, so really, only 3 are in Sparwood, the rest are more in Elkford, but whatever).

Here's a comparison pic (sorta) of the mine taken last week, by a friend of mine when she was out visiting {taken at a much higher viewpoint, went off-roading for a while} .....
