Imagine my surprise this morning, as I settled in to check my email and such, after getting hubby and the kids on the road for their trip .... I opened up the digi-dare blog, and what do I see???

Anyways, can't stay and chat for long, need to go curl back up into bed for a while, since I have to work tonight from 3-11pm. Gonna be weird coming home to an empty house.

Haven't done too much today, other than laundry and ran down to the Bargain Shop and Overwaitea, to pick up a few things that Des and the kids needed for their trip. Tomorrow will be spent packing and cleaning the house before the In-Laws arrive. Too bad they will be arriving on Friday, while Des and I are BOTH at work until 11pm! Can't guarantee that a bomb won't have gone off while we are at work. lol Have to get Cody to mow the back yard tomorrow, it's become a bit of a jungle (he did the front lawn last night). Anyways, off to play on facebook and maybe scrap with Kristin's new paper pack (available NOW at Scrapbookgraphics!!) .....

Other than that, this week has been kinda quiet. Des and the kids leave in four days, and I am excited and nervous at the same time! Hoping that they have fun and that I don't miss them too much!

Ok, I know this started as a place for me to post about digi-scrapping and my family, but man-oh-man, what did I do before facebook?!?! It is so strange to reconnect with some people I haven't seen since elementary school, high school and even old loves!! So kewl! Not that my hubby likes me reconnecting with old flames. lmao. He has nothing to worry about though, I am with him for the long haul. heheee

I have done some digi-scrapping though, it's not all about facebook. hehee This is my newest, and my current fave ....

This photo was inspired by my recent weight loss and my need to feel good about myself. So I stood in the only bare area of the house, in the corner of the kitchen, and snapped away with the digi cam. The first picture in a very long time of me, that I have actually liked.

Next weekend, my brave husband is going with his parents, and our four children, for a two week vacation - while I get to stay at home ALONE!!! The first time I have ever been away from all the kids and the hubby for more than a day!! I'll be able to do what I want, when I want, as long as I don't have to work. lmao Hoping that I can get a few days off to go visit with my dad, stepmom, sisters and brother. My sisters and I are supposed to be going and getting matching tattoos too!!! So excited!!!

Anyways, it's getting late. Hubby is working graveyards this week, which has messed up my online times. I've been waiting til he goes to work, which has been at 10:30pm, instead of getting off the comp at that time. lol

newest addiction

dang everyone for sending me invites to join facebook!!! It has beome my new addiction! I have 103 friends as of this post, and it is still growing! heheheee I LOVE my digi friend additions too! I have reconnected with lots of friends from elementary school, high school, old jobs, old loves and just about everything in between! It's freakin' AWESOME!!! lol

wanna add me? just ask for my real name and I'll hook ya up! lol

Other than that, been working, done a few new digi LOs, just haven't uploaded yet. I am really slow on the uploads.

Went to a friend's housewarming party last night, took tons of drunk people pics (I was the only one sober), so I have lots to scrap for fun times. lol

Anywho, gotta head offline and get some beauty sleep .... gotta work in the am (the alarm is not my friend at 6am!!).

sweet, sweet release!

when asked how I survived without internet for over 6 months, I just tell people that I got through it, did the best I could. But in reality, I was dying for some interaction with the outside world, some thoughtless chatting, and my most beloved {and missed the most!} digital scrapbooking! Sure, I still created, but when having to dl at the library, burn to CD, and then unzip, etc at home ... it's not the same!

Since being online on Frieday {remember, I worked all weekend, and had my sisters come visit, so I didn't get much time til today}, I have DL'ed over 20 new kits! Uploaded 5 of the LOs I have done while being offline! And chatted with Miss Fantacy, who I have been missin' like you wouldn't believe!!!! {She went offline before I did, so we've got lots of catching up to do!}

So yeah, I survived .... just barely. heheee
