Well, that was a fun 3 months

This afternoon, I was "let go" from work. WTF? Whatever! For supposedly expressing an interest to work in the lounge and that the hours at front desk were too much for me. Uh, I offered to help in the lounge if they needed me, and I said I couldn't work night audit on front desk once the kids were in school. WHATEVER! So done with it all. I am just sad that I am gonna miss all my regulars that I got to know over the past three months.

Wanna know the funniest part? I am BARRED from the premises for 30 days!!! For a "cooling off" period. lmao So no dinners out or night of drinkin' with buddies for me!

And now, I have to go out and find something else to do, because of course, we had to get the new truck! heheheee

here are some pics of our new truck ....

LOVE the four door feature, sure makes getting kids in and out easier!! And all three car seats / booster seats fit across the back with no one being squished! And Cody fits up front with us, and we aren't bumping elbows or legs ... so NICE!!!

We bought a new truck on Thursday!!!

Ok, we have never owned a vehicle that is less than about 10 years old, but now, we are the proud new owners of a 2002 GMC Sierra Extended Cab!!! OMG! This is the first time we have ever not bought a vehicle outright too (we have payments for the first time) ... but it is sooo nice!! Our car has been acting up for the past few years, and we are tired of putting money into a vehicle that is so old that it doesn't even have a book value (yeah, and my van doesn't either, the joys of owning something from 1991! lmao) - despite the $3000 worth of tires and rims that were on it (that was what we traded it, the only value from it was for the tires!).

I'll take pics, probably tomorrow. Des keeps thinking of things he needs to go do, just so he can drive the truck. hehehee I got to finally drive it this evening when I came down for work (this graveyard shift really sucks!!). Now if only we could find the extra money to trade my van in for something newer ....

I am officially off now for two days, they better not think of calling me into work ... I am in need of a day off after the weekend from HE**!!! hehee Ok, so it wasn't that bad, but it was bad enough. I had to do three afternoon shifts (3-11pm) in a row, and then last night, I pulled a graveyard shift (11pm-7am) ... yeah, me with four kids had to do night audit ... after specifically telling them when I was hired that was the only shift I wasn't available for. And they have me scheduled for two more of them this week, on Friday and Saturday!! The really crappy part? Des, Cody and Quinten will probably be home on Tuesday instead of Saturday now, and I don't know how in the world I am supposed to sleep with kids in the house! I am such a light sleeper.

Anyways, I am off to maybe scrap some more, so I can get caught up on some stuff.
